The Chinese-American Lung Association (CALA) Is An Independent And Non-Profit Organization Founded By A Group Of Chinese-American Pulmonary Scientists And Physicians In 2012. CALA Is To Serve As A Platform For Chinese-American Scientists And Physicians In The Field Of Lung Biology And Respiratory Medicine To Advance Research, Patient Care, Education, And Advocacy Efforts.

We Aim To Promote Collaborations And Communications In Pulmonary Research Within CALA Members; Cultivate The Career Development Of Junior CALA Members; Provide Support To Investigators With Translational Needs Into Drug Development For Pulmonary Diseases; Advocate For CALA Faculty Members And Advance Their Career In Pulmonary Society.

The Chinese-American Lung Association (CALA) is an independent and non-profit scholar association. The Association’s mission is to unite Chinese-American scientists in the field of lung biology and respiratory medicine in North America to dedicate us to advance research, patient care, education, and advocacy efforts. The major missions of the CALA are:

  1. to pursue common interests and friendship among Chinese professionals in Pulmonary Medicine;
  2. to share information;
  3. to exchange experiences;
  4. to help solve experimental problems;
  5. to announce job and funding opportunities;
  6. to encourage communications with other scientists and medical professionals;
  7. to develop strong collaborations with investigators in China to advocate for policies to reduce tobacco use and promote research with cigarette smoke-related diseases.
